Procedural Solar System
A downloadable game for Windows
This is a small demo of a solar system where with procedural star, planets, gas giants and rings and asteroid belts. Showcases different procedural shaders and generation and rendering techniques.
- Planets use procedural shaders.
- The star uses an animated procedural shader and VFX Graph corona glow.
- Gas Giants use curl flow with custom render textures.
- Asteroid Belts use instanced shader and vertex displacement to render 1000s of instances.
- Custom shader omnidirectional space lighting.
Controls:
Used WASD + QE to move and rotate camera, or use mouse drag to move+rotate camera: Left mouse button drags, middle mouse changes elevation, right mouse button rotates camera.
Click on planets to focus on them. There you can randomize individual planets or satellite bodies.
In planet orbit mode, dragging with the the right mouse button held down rotates the camera.

Install instructions
The download is a zipped Windows build of the demo. Simply unzip in a folder on your PC and launch the executable.
